In the Gospel of Matthew Jesus said, “Many are called but few are chosen” (Matt. 22:14). You are reading this article because God has chosen you to be a leader. What an honor to be chosen by God to serve His people. With a passionate, “Yes” we respond to that call. We get to engage in the ministry of Jesus - discipleship.

The goal of this online prayer meeting is to mobilize a generation to pray for an awakening in the nation and to pray into what God intends to release at our event in Chicago this summer.

I recently finished up some time in an acting school.  During one of my first classes, the teacher sat down, looked everyone in the eye and said, “Why do people want to be actors?”  Immediately I thought to myself, “Most people in here will probably say something like they want to be famous or make lots of money.”  Personally, I was there for fun and a chance to learn something new.

There is something really significant about the fact that the most repeated command in the New Testament is, “Do not fear”. Jesus was trying to get something across to us. He wanted to tell us that there was nothing to fear. There was nothing He couldn’t take care of for us: nothing that would overtake us.

How can God choose not to heal someone when He already purchased their healing? Was His blood enough for all sin, or just certain sins? Were the stripes He bore only for certain illnesses, or certain seasons of time? When He bore stripes in His body He made a payment for our miracle. He already decided to heal.

2008 was a busy year for the world. Obama's campaign was going full swing. Heath Ledger's acting in The Dark Knight became legendary. The summer Olympics became the only thing to watch on TV. And in the middle of this busy year, there was one day, in particular, that I still remember.
