Jesus Culture is calling a new breed of revivalist from right across America to gather at the All State Arena in Chicago, August 3-5, 2011! We are inviting burning ones from the 50 States of America to converge in the ONE place at the ONE time – Chicago! It is here at the first arena gathering for Jesus Culture, that I believe God is going to release an authority on revivalists to return to their regions and see something catalytic take place in our nation.
We are moving toward this event with great excitement and anticipation for all God intends to do. The Lord spoke to us years ago about a new breed of revivalist emerging in the earth who will be utterly abandoned to His heart and revolutionize the world... These are ones who will encounter His extravagant love, and release Heaven’s life and hope. These are ones who will walk in Kingdom authority, and heal the sick and raise the dead. These are ones who will have a lifestyle demonstrating the grace and power of God. Because of the Lord’s desire for cities and nations, He is raising up this new breed to impact campuses, change cultures, and see entire regions saved.
Over the past eleven years, Jesus Culture has offered an opportunity for youth and young adults to encounter God, and be equipped and mobilized to see His Kingdom come within and around them. We have taken our team into many cities across the USA, as well as Australia and England; but we really feel strongly that the Lord is saying it is time to unite for a specific impartation of what He desires to release for this new season.
The speakers at the All State Arena in Chicago will include: Reinhard Bonnke, Bill Johnson, Lou Engle, Cindy Jacobs, Sean Smith, others and myself. Kim Walker Smith, Chris Quilala, the Jesus Culture Band, and Jake Hamilton will be leading worship. We are also working out the dates to have one more worship team join us (I will announce this later.).
As Jesus Culture prepares for this significant national event, we want to include YOU. Therefore, I thought it important to unpack the prophetic adventure that has led us this far…
• BECOMING A PROPHETIC VOICE… We held our original Jesus Culture Conference back in 1999 in Redding, California. July 2006 was the first time we had to move the conference to the local Convention Center in Redding. It was during this conference that a young woman came up to me and shared a dream she had two days before. In the dream we were at the Convention Center, and she approached me and asked, “Why does it cost so much to come to this conference?” And I replied, “We have to have 120,000 youth to fill this stadium. After we reach 120,000 youth, that’s when we will start to profit.” I sensed the Lord was telling me that we were to move toward meeting in stadiums, and when that took place He was going to give us a prophetic voice in the nation (I felt there was a play on the word ‘profit’.).
• FILLING STADIUMS WITH SIGNS & WONDERS… In July of 2007, Lou Engle was with us in Redding and he prophesied publicly that God was telling us to begin to move toward stadiums. He continued with the prophetic word and said that ‘The Call’ was a movement that filled stadiums with prayer and fasting – like the ministry of John the Baptist. However, the ministry of John the Baptist was to prepare the way for the ministry of Jesus – which was signs and wonders. Lou prophesied that God was going to fill stadiums with signs and wonders, and we were to begin to declare and move toward that.
• THE MESSAGE BEHIND JESUS CULTURE… A little over a month later I was once again with Cindy Jacobs. I shared the word Lou had given us and asked what she thought I should do with it. She knew I was in the middle of writing my first book called Jesus Culture, and said that I needed to finish it. She explained that if we were to fill stadiums, it was critical I shared the message the Lord had given us through my book.
• NOW IS THE TIME… In September 2009, two years later almost to the day, my book was released! A few days after the launch, as only God can work out, Cindy was with us in Redding for another conference. As we were catching up in the hotel lobby, she stopped in the middle of our conversation and had a vision of us in a stadium. She began to prophesy stadiums and healing. Cindy then encouraged me to move Jesus Culture toward stadiums, and that the timing was right.
• SEEKING DIRECTION… This obviously stirred me in prayer, and during the next few months I asked the Lord what we were to do and where we were to go. I had already been talking to a pastor in the Chicago area about a rally in Chicago, so I began asking the Lord if He was directing us to go to Chicago as our first step toward stadiums.
While I was in this season of prayer, I received a word from a man in Canada about “the Chicago Fire”. In short, he prophesied to me that I was to study the Chicago Fire and it was a prophetic sign to us… A fire was going to sweep across a generation. (Years ago, in Chicago, the Lord had impressed upon me that He was not only raising up a new breed of revivalist but He was anointing them with authority to see entire cities saved!)
• VENUES… Our team began to look into the options for venues in Chicago. At the time, it appeared that the All State Arena (which holds 18,500), would be our best option for a national gathering of young revivalists. But I continued to pray into it and inquire when we were to go.
• ENCOUNTERS OF POWER… In February of 2010, we had our annual ‘Jesus Culture Encounter Conference’ here in Redding. On the last night I was scheduled to preach and Jake Hamilton was leading worship. It was a most incredible worship experience. The presence of God was so strong, and the passion and hunger of the young people was tangible. A little over an hour into worship, Jake began to sing a chorus that was simply, “Hallelujah”. All across the building, over 2000 people were giving themselves to Jesus in worship. It was a moment of wholehearted consecration. Lives being fervidly surrendered to God and marked for revival. A generation earnestly expressing their love, adoration, and honor to Jesus. It was phenomenal.
During that moment the Lord spoke to me and said, “If you ask me for a generation in America, I will give you a generation in America.” I knew He was telling me if I would ask Him for it, He would allow us to take what was happening in that room with 2000 youth and young adults, and see that anointing impact an entire generation.
• YOUTH OF THE NATION… Two days after our conference in February I was emailed a dream. In the dream I was in an arena somewhere in America. The place was packed with people and Kim Walker Smith and Chris Quilala were leading worship. They were singing Chris’s song, ‘Burning Ones’. When they reached the chorus, Jake Hamilton walked on stage with a wireless microphone and began to worship with them – simultaneously singing the old P.O.D. song called, ‘Youth of the Nation’. Kim and Chris would sing a line and then Jake would echo, “Youth of the nation”:
We are your burning ones… Youth of the nation
We are consumed by You… Youth of the nation
We set our lives apart… Youth of the nation
We are consumed by You… Youth of the nation
And as they sang this chorus the entire arena erupted in praise.
Since that dream we have received more confirmation of the Lord amassing revivalists and releasing signs and wonders, but this was the final piece for me. I knew the Lord was telling us to go to the All State Arena and call young revivalists and their leaders from all across America – to unite in Chicago.
August 3-5, 2011… I believe God is going to release an authority on a new breed of healing revivalists who will be anointed, activated and sent back into their campuses and cities. And we will see an uncontainable fire sweep across a generation.
