We all need an increase of God’s power in and through us! Even the most powerfully fruitful ministries haven’t attained consistent Christlikeness! Personally, I am so encouraged by the fact that Heidi Baker (who now sees 100 percent healing of the deaf in the villages of Mozambique) first prayed for at least 23 people before SEEING the first deaf ear opened!
The Lord is beckoning us to desire more of Him, to experience more of Him, and to share our new reality with a lost, broken and hurting world. This is a day when God is raising a movement of radical believers, who will be altogether captivated by their King.
For me personally, there is nothing I long for more than to abide in God's courts, and dwell in His presence. I live and breathe for deeper fellowship with Him, to behold His beauty, and to be transformed from glory to glory. And God is wooing, tenderizing and challenging me like never before!
There is a beer commercial (unfortunately some of the greatest media creativity is found in these), where men are running around half-crazed thinking its raining beer. Finally some guy runs into a bar where real beer is consumed and their ignorance is supposedly exposed. The moral is; when you’ve been deprived of the genuine you’ll be vulnerable to the deception of a watered-down counterfeit, until you encounter the authentic. When people haven’t experienced the power of God- they’ll call anything divine.
The world needs full contact with all out displays on New Testament spirituality grounded in Jesus. These times demand radical followers of Christ, willing to obey God’s will at all cost. “We have to get people beyond dedication and into fascination.” -Mike Bickle
If revival is a structure God is building on the earth, then I don’t want to spend my life building the same floor my fathers and mothers built. In other words, I can align my life under Bill Johnson’s and step right into a revelation of healing that took him years to acquire. But when I do, I have a new responsibility.
This Year We Will Win Together. The Lord said 2009 was, “The year the ‘stars’ died alone… but that 2010 will be the year we win together.” I feel like the Lord showed me that He had strategically partnered us with people in 2009, and even though it was not always those we had expected or wanted, the people He has established in our lives are our sovereign breakthrough teams.
I’m not sure exactly how it works but it’s obvious throughout Scripture the Lord moves in seasons. There doesn’t seem to be a set formula, or predictable timeline, but it becomes evident as I lean into the Spirit of God that there are certain things He highlights at different times. There are things that are always on His heart, but there are seasons where He seems to be emphasizing or pointing at something specifically.
Every day in cities all over America, thousands of students gather in one location–their campus. For years, as a pastor working with youth and young adults, we had been pressing in for a strategy on how to impact the schools, colleges and universities in our city and nation. We were never satisfied with just great church meetings or a Campus Ministry that has large numbers; we wanted to reach the city and influence entire campuses. We always knew prayer would be at the heart of this movement but we were looking for a strategy that would prove fruitful and sustainable. Then the Lord released a dream to me
