A Handful Of Testimonies

Wow, wow, wow! What a crazy summer it’s already been. Busy but incredible. We’ve been to Dallas, Atlanta, and Redding. As well, I’ve spent ten days in Maui with my family and a few days with Paul Goulet in Las Vegas at his Holy Spirit Conference. I could not be more encouraged by all that God did and is doing. We recorded our latest annual CD/DVD at this last Jesus Culture Redding. It was some of the most amazing times of worship I’ve ever been in. Kim Walker Smith, Chris Quilala, and our band just tore it up. The Presence of God was so strong in the meetings and the hunger and passion of youth and young adults was off the charts. It never gets old seeing them give themselves fully to Jesus in worship.

One of the amazing things that happens through the conferences is not just what occurs in the meetings or on the streets but the testimonies that roll in after the gathering. For months and sometimes years I hear about how what God did in one of the conferences is still bearing fruit in people’s lives. So I thought I would share two quick testimonies from something that happened with a youth group after Jesus Culture Atlanta and one that happened during Jesus Culture Redding. Enjoy!

This was sent to me from a youth pastor in North Carolina:

I wanted to share quickly about our service following Jesus Culture in Atlanta. I have been longing for years that God would do a new thing, not a recreation of past moves of the Spirit. I was tremendously ministered to from Brownsville, and became good friends with many people from there but... I have been so desperate for a new, fresh move of God. Atlanta was all of that! When we came back that Sunday, the Pastor released the entire service to our youth. We only got through about 3 songs, and even by that point the miracles begun. During worship a word of the Lord came for emotional healings, and amazing things happened. After every single teen testified to what God did, they began to lay hands on the sick and hurting. The first was one of the teen’s dad who had recently fallen from a bridge on to a road below and crushed his heal. Doctors said he wouldn't walk for at least nine months and the pain will last that entire time of recovery. (this had happened a few weeks ago) By the end, he was in absolutely no pain and the cast was cut off at the altar. Another was healed from a severe pain they had in there shoulders for years, and was going into surgery soon. All pain gone! Another's hips were healed, another's hands were healed and the list keeps growing. Our young people plan to invade our malls and shopping places this weekend and the weekends ahead. So... If you ever wonder what happens after the conference, well there ya go! Be blessed man!

PS - one more interesting thing. When we got home from the retreat we had two young people who left our youth and have lived in sin contact and let us know they received our invite to that Sundays service. Funny though, cause me nor my wife invited them. But they have a facebook messages and text messages from us inviting them to the service!

Girl healed

I have been dealing with chronic stomach pain since I was 13 years old. I have seen over 20 different doctors and over 10 different specialists. I had been in out hospitals for two year and had two different surgeries to try and fix the chaos inside of me. However, in the end it was just something that I was going to have to deal with, it was not fixable and I would have live with this pain for the rest of my life. I am 17 now and in a very committed relationship with Jesus. I went to Redding to the Jesus Culture conference and after hearing about all of the testimonies, I knew that Jesus could do the healing in me that no doctor could do. So on the last night of the conference I had Sean Smith pray for me, I was slain in the spirit for a good hour and after a late night of prayer with my friends we called it a night. I woke up in the morning with no pain and I have had no pain since then. I got to eat a hamburger for the first time without the consequences of massive pain!!
