Atlanta was off the charts! It is incredible what God is doing right now. The hunger among the youth and young adults was so encouraging. From the first night of the conference you could feel the passion of the people there pursuing God with all of their heart. Kim Walker tore it up during the worship times. And the rest of our team did an amazing job. The testimonies from City Invasion were so much fun.
People were healed and many encountered God because of the young revivalists who prayed for them. Pastors were coming up to me telling me how every single one of their young people were on fire now. There was such a strong sense of the presence of God at the conference. From the workshops, to City Invasion, to the main sessions, God was showing up.
And then there was Lou. He was on fire! The message he is carrying for the church and the nation right now is critical for revival. God has anointed him and given him a mandate to see America turn back to God. The two messages he spoke were two of the strongest I’ve ever heard. Years ago, I had a dream where I was in the army and standing in formation with other people younger then me. We were standing on the street of a neighborhood with a drill sergeant facing us giving us instructions. All of a sudden two boys at the back of the formation ran off and were deserting the army. Right then the drill sergeant commanded me and one other guy to run after them and bring them back. As we were running them down, they turned into an alley that led to an open field. When they got to the field they jumped into a 1970’s white car. We ran after them and began to violently wrestle them out of the car. When we finally got them out of the car, we walked them back to the formation.
I was reminded of this dream while Lou was preaching. I could feel the Lord violently drafting these young people. A violent grace was possessing them. It was as if the Lord was showing them what they were born for and revealing to them the greatness inside of them. An army of young revivalists destined to change to the world. They are passionately in love with Jesus and have a heart to bring others the same love they’ve encountered in Jesus.
Before I leave, I want to thank all of those who made Jesus Culture Atlanta possible. There were so many people in the Atlanta area who helped us out with housing, administration, details, etc… Keep going for God!
