Hey mates! David here at The River Centre in Tonbridge. Banning says hello. After a week of great weather in Rugby we came to Tonbridge and were completely soaked within minutes of getting of The Tube in London yesterday. No worries though, we still managed to see the sights and get in some shopping.
Last Thursday we went down to Leamington for a service. Banning spoke even though his voice was completely gone before he even started. People were getting healed all over the place.
During some ministry time towards the beginning of Banning's time I walked over to the left side of the Cathedral to see what God was wanting to do. As I stood next to one of the giant pillars He showed me that He was going to heal someone's left ear in that section. Less than thirty seconds later a young man walked over to me and asked me to pray for his ear. I asked him if it was the left ear and he said that it was. After explaining that God had just showed me that He was going to heal someone's left ear I began to pray. The first time nothing happened. The second time he noticed a little improvement. However, I knew God wanted to heal him so I prayed a third time and when he tested it out he found that his bad ear was now better than his good ear. Jesus is so awesome!
The team went Egham for Jesus Culture UK Students on Saturday. It was awesome. Two hundred and fifty students gathered to be equipped to see the power of God come on their campuses. Many of the students went out on the streets and prayed for people for the first time. Some amazing things happened as they listened for what God was showing them and then they stepped out and did it! One young lady was healed of severe back pain that she had for the past 9 years after only 30 seconds of prayer.
On Sunday the group went to two churches near Egham where Banning and Linda spoke. Words of knowledge were given and many more were healed. At the service where Linda spoke there was a man who was about ready to quit his job because of the problems he had with his arm. Several of the words of knowledge pertained to his injury so he came up for prayer. He was very happy to demonstrate to people that he was healed by shaking their hand with the pastor saying that his hand hurt after the man shook his hand with such a strong grip.
Sunday afternoon we spent time with the folks from The Journey. It was great. Each person on our team picked someone to prophesy over and many of the words had people laughing or cheering as God highlighted something that was knowledge to friends but was unknown to our team. Several more people were healed including one young lady who had trouble seeing and had bad headaches due to sinus problems.
Monday we went to Windsor Castle. Talk about a sight to see. We had a great time there and were amazed at how elaborate the decorations were. At one point a security officer approached Kim Walker after she had opened a door. He slowly walked towards her lifting his finger saying, "You aren't supposed to do that." Terrified, Kim responded that she didn't know, but then the officer began to laugh and said that another person had told him to approach her. After going through the castle, many of us chose to get our picture taken with one of the armed guards. We forced Kim to get her picture taken with him as well and yet again she was horrified. No worries though, she survived and will still be leading worship at Jesus Culture.
Today the team went into two schools in Tonbridge. They shared testimonies and then were able to give words of knowledge for healing. Several students ended up healed as a result. Wouldn't that be awesome to do in schools all over the world?! Tonight we had a worship service followed by prayer for England, Europe, and then finally the conference. Our heart is to see healing revivalists released to bring the glory of the Lord to all the earth. Tonbridge is a great place to start!
