God Is Revealing Himself

I can’t believe it’s been a month since I’ve said hello. There is so much good stuff that’s happened in a month. Since I last wrote my last blog I turned a year older. That’s right, I’m officially 31 years old. I’m deep into my thirties. Ok, maybe not deep into my thirties but I’m definitely getting older. One of my gifts was an Xbox 360. Not sure if I should still be getting video game systems in my thirties, but it is sweet!

Students at our youth group are still having radical encounters with God. I’m not talking about just a few students either. Many are having fresh encounters with God who are newly saved or just starting to get serious about their relationship with God. I believe we are in a sustained season of visitation. The Bible makes it clear God is found by all those who seek Him with all of their heart, but it seems to also make a point there are seasons where God is easily found. The Bible says, “Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.” God is always near but there are times where there is a heightened awareness of God’s presence. The truth is God is seeking us more then we are seeking Him. In fact, you cannot seek Him without the revelation He is seeking you. So God is seeking us and the result is people are encountering Him. The fruit of the encounters have been astounding. On more then one occasion, the young people who are having these heavenly encounters tell about an increase of hunger for the Bible. One of the girls can’t get enough of the Word. She gets up in the morning and just wants to read the Bible. One of our young men who has been having encounters with God was asked why he thought God was doing this among young people. His answer was priceless. He said, “I think the Lord is trying to teach us how to walk with Him not work for him.”

That is exactly what God is doing. God is looking for people who are friends not workers. I would encourage you to make time to seek God. Establish a lifestyle that is all about loving on Jesus. When your main focus is loving on Jesus He will reveal Himself to you. In John 14 it says those who love God will be loved by Him and He will reveal himself to them. What an incredible promise we have. We get to love on Jesus and then He loves on us and reveals Himself to us.

Don’t forget you have greatness inside of you and your life was meant to change the course of world history. I will try and write again sooner this time. If you are at any of our conferences or at Bethel make sure you come and say hello.
