Welcome to my first ever blog! I am so excited about the new version of jesusculture.org. We started Jesus Culture in 1999 and it’s been an incredible ride for the last 8 years. We’ve seen God do some amazing things and had a chance to meet some incredible people at our conferences. In the midst of this journey, God began to speak to us about our mandate. Our passion is to see an entire generation of young revivalists raised up and released in the nations of the earth. These young revivalists will be under covering, passionately in love with Jesus, know how to pray, and be demonstrators of the power of God. We live in the most exciting time in history and we are in the midst of the greatest revival in Church history. God just isn’t moving among young people but all ages. He’s raising up revivalists in every generation, but our heart is to resource those in their teens and twenties. This website is for that purpose. We want to resource and fuel a generation of revivalists. On this website you will be able to read articles, respond to blogs, listen and watch sermons in different forms, and hear from some of the national revival leaders. You will also still be able to get all the info you need about Jesus Culture conferences. As well, we will eventually have a place for local church leaders to hear what we have learned and are learning about raising up young revivalists in the local church. Also, this website will be updated every week so make sure you keep checking back for new content and new features.
It is important we recognize “divine moments.” These are moments in time where the Lord opens doors and we must seize those opportunities and run through the doors. One of the saddest things I see in the nation is when people don’t recognize the time they live in. I read a story once about one of the first drummer for the Beatles. Tommy Moore was drumming for the Beatles in 1960 before they were a worldwide phenomenon. But he decided to leave the Beatles because his girlfriend began to pressure him to quit the band and get a real job. So he decided to get a job working the night shift at a bottle factory. The other members of the band came around to his house and tried to convince him to stay but were told to go away by Tommy’s girlfriend. A few short years later the Beatles explode onto the scene and our now recognized as the greatest band in history. Talk about missing a moment! Can you imagine Tommy when the Beatles hit it big. Working his night shift job thinking, “That could have been me.”
We are in the midst of a moment. The Lord is pouring out His Spirit all over the world like never before. Now is not the time to sit back on our spiritual couches and munch on some Doritos. We’ve got to give ourselves for worldwide revival. Your city will never be the same if you give yourself whole-heartedly to see God show up in your city. You are a revivalist! You were destined for greatness! Don’t ever settle for anything less then world-wide revival! I pray this website fuels your passion and equips you to run for revival.
