Quarterly Blog. Yikes!

Alright, I've mentioned it before, but I might possibly be the worst ever blogger. I can't believe it's been three months since my last blog. I need to get my blogging act together. Well here we go! A ton has happened since November.

On the family front. My daughter turned ten years old. TEN! I can't believe it. When did I become old enough to have a ten year old. We had a great birthday party for her. She was spoiled for the entire day. She is an amazing girl. The most beautiful ten year old in the entire world. I'm so proud of her. She loves Jesus, cares deeply for people, is so gifted in so many areas, and is a fantastic daughter. My six year old girl lost her first top tooth. She couldn't be more cute with her toothless smile. My boy is till into super heroes. When I ask him what is his favorite super hero, he responds, "All of dem!" My wife got her first ever iPhone. She loves it. We are in a mini war over who can get the highest score on Bejeweled 2. I hate to admit this but right now she is dominating me in the high score category. I can't seem to beat her. If you only knew how my competitive juices do not like that.

On the ministry front we've had some great things happen. We had our annual winter conference in Redding, Jesus Culture Encounter 2009. My good friend and a spiritual father in my life, Lou Engle, was with us. He tore it up. I was so encouraged, as I always am, by the hunger and passion in the youth and young adults that come to the conference. Their devotion and love for Jesus is inspiring. They are laying their lives down for the desires of God's heart and are dedicating their lives for His glory. It's awesome to see. I say again and again, I'm just glad I have a front row seat to see God move in such incredible ways.

Jake Hamilton recorded his first CD with us at Encounter. It will be a live CD with all original songs from Jake. It is going to be off the charts. Jake has such a great sound and his songs will become an anthem for revivalists. I had a pastor who had been in ministry for years lean over to me during one of Jake's worship sessions and say, "This might be the best worship I have ever been in." This CD is going to be incredible and I am excited to see it come out, hopefully by May.

We also recorded our annual worship CD/DVD with Kim Walker, Chris Quilala, and Melissa How. This year we decided to not record it during Encounter, as we have the last three years, but we moved it to a one night worship event at The Cascade Theater in Redding. The Cascade is a restored 1930's theater. It's gorgeous and the DVD is going to be amazing. The CD will be so good this year. The songs are fantastic and best of all God showed up in a massive way during the worship time. Our heart is to just love Jesus and see worship ignited in the hearts of people all over the world. We are planning on releasing the new CD/DVD at our Jesus Culture in Redding in July.

We are planning on launching an updated and changed website in April. It will have a similar feel as the old jesuscultre.org but will have a different layout with some new features like the ability to comment on the content on the website.

Campus Awakening held it's first summit for Universities and Colleges in February. Erica Greve and Michael Brodeur are doing a great job in seeing this movement launched. We are excited to see what God is going to do on campuses. Our plan is to launch the High School and Jr High arm of Campus Awakening at our summer conference in Redding.

Alright, well I will try and get better at blogging. Pray for me. I will try and keep you updated and share what's on my heart. I just got back from Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge, LA. Had a great time with Joel and Jonathan Stockstill. They have a great work going on down there and I was really encouraged by my time with them. I am heading off to Las Vegas to speak at the church of our friend Pastor Paul Goulet, the International Church of Las Vegas. Nolan Clark and Shawn Bolz will be there as well. It's going to be fun.
