As I write this blog I am flying at an altitude of 37,996 ft. My son is sitting next to me eating Ritz and watching Wall-E. I wanted to write and give you all an update on our UK Tour and Berlin, Germany. To be honest, I’m not sure how I am going to be able to completely do that in just a blog. It was a whirlwind of a trip and God did so much. As I think back over the last eighteen days, I’m overwhelmed by all that God did. The lives He touched, the people He healed, the hearts He ignited.
Twenty-four of our team (my family included) took off September 22. Our first stop was Leicester, England, where we did our annual Jesus Culture Conference. Ian and Marge Rossol are the pastors of an absolutely amazing church in Leicester and every year it is a highlight for us to be with them. Right away, from the first worship song on the first night, I could sense God was up to something. I was so impacted by the hunger and passion of a generation in the UK that have set their hearts to pursue God with everything in them. In fact, one of the defining marks of every city we went to on this trip was the incredible passion that people had to lift up the name of Jesus and to press in for revival in their nation. So much hunger and faith. We had a great time at the conference. We saw people healed not only in the meetings but on the streets. Sean and Barbara Smith were with us for the conference and as always Sean tore it up in the sessions he spoke at.
After the conference we loaded up on the tour buses and headed off to 8 other cities for one night gatherings. Wolverhampton – Southampton - Cardiff, Wales - Berlin, Germany (20 hr bus drive) – London – Bath – Newcastle – Belfast, Northern Ireland. Over 10,000 people came out to the meetings. As I said before, the hunger, passion, and faith were so encouraging. Although we did not keep an official count, it is safe to say that multiple hundreds of people were healed in the meetings. So many lives were marked for revival. The Lord told me years ago that there was a new breed of revivalist emerging in the earth and every city we went to I felt as if I was seeing proof of what God showed me. There is a new breed of revivalist who is giving everything to see Jesus glorified in the earth. The meetings were marked by passionate worship, crying out to God for revival, seeking Him with all of our heart, and God responding by radically touching lives and releasing power for healing. I will try and compile some of the testimonies of healing and perhaps share them on a video blog soon.
Every city was incredible, but Berlin was a definite highlight for me. It was my first trip into Europe outside of England. The first night we were there I was able to see part of the Berlin Wall, which was just epic. The one night we were there, 2,700 people from Germany and different parts of Europe came together to seek the Lord. After worship we moved into a time of healing and as the testimonies continued to line up I knew that was all we would do for the evening. So, so, so, so encouraged by all God did that night. Not only was He healing bodies but He was marking a generation for revival. Hope is alive and well in Europe. I have seen a generation that is passionately in love with Jesus and will give their lives for His cause in the earth.
I cannot end this blog without telling you how amazing our team was. Years ago the Lord showed me different things I would be involved in for Him. I am beginning to see the beginning stages of things I have dreamed about for years. But one of the absolute privileges of following Jesus is being able to run with some of the best people in the world. From the worship team, to the admin team, to the stage and sound crew, the Jesus Culture leaders, to my family, they are amazing! As well, all of the pastors and leaders that we were able to connect with, that hosted us, and helped make it happen.
It is a good day to be alive and it is a good day to be serving Jesus.
