Travel Blog - Rugby, England

Hey everyone, this is David filling in for Banning and we are over in Rugby, England for the week, before the Jesus Culture Conference. I will attempt to give daily updates as to what is going on, so keep checking back.

We left Redding on Friday morning and flew out of San Francisco that afternoon, not arriving in London until Saturday morning. After making it through immigration we got on a bus and rode a few hours to Rugby.

After getting rested up a bit Saturday night, we went to a combined church service Sunday morning. After worship and a skit (or a sketch as they are called here) we went into ministry time, praying for those who wanted healing. It was great. Many people got healed. Then the team started to call out words of knowledge and even more people were healed. I only talked with one other person on the team, but there were at least three people with partial deafness that were healed. Several others received prayer and so I would think that more than that were healed. Praise God.

Today we were in schools teaching lessons and also putting on assemblies. We were sharing our experiences of how Christ has impacted our lives and what made God real to us. It was powerful. Many of the students were impacted and were asking us questions about our experiences with God. For the assembly in the school I was at, we did a skit about the power of words. I could tell from being in the lessons that many of the students use words that hurt others and several teachers thanked us afterwards saying how that was such a relevant topic to what has been going on at the school recently.

Hopefully we'll have some fun things to put up here in the next few days, but until then don't get off your trolley and enjoy some fish n chips!
