I feel like all of my recent blogs are about my travels. I think it’s mainly because I find the time to write these little blogs while I’m sitting in airports waiting for flights. In fact, that’s where I’m at right now - an airport in Las Vegas.
We’ve been here for two days helping our good friends Lou Engle and Paul Goulette mobilize for The Call Las Vegas. Right after The Call Nashville on 07-07-07, we begin a march to DC in 2008. The first stop will be Las Vegas, a city we lovingly refer to as Salvation City. I am continually struck by the moment in history we’ve been allowed to participate in. I’m not sure if you are aware of this, but God is on the move like never before. All over the world revival is breaking out. Cities are being transformed, nations are being rocked, lives are being changed, and millions are being swept into the Kingdom. Every week, there are over 1 Million people who give their lives to Jesus! That’s astounding. There is a prayer movement rolling through the nations, signs and wonders are happening on a regular basis in the lives of believers, and the Church worldwide is being revived!
The awesome thing, though, is that it just isn’t happening in third world countries, it’s happening in America. We were just in a meeting with church leaders from all over Vegas and I was so encouraged by the hunger for God I encountered there. America is at an historic moment. We stand at the threshold of the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our history. To be honest, I think it’s already begun. It may only be in pockets but it’s happening. People are getting saved, I am constantly hearing about healings happening all over, and the church is encouraged. In the midst of that, we still must press in for more. We must give ourselves to fasting and prayer to see God come to America and this wonderful nation turn back to God.
It’s all possible! And you are alive right now. That is no accident. You are a crucial part of God’s plan for your city and America. I just love being alive in this hour.
