"I want to bring my youth and young adults to Encounter! Where do I begin?"
Good question, let us help...
Your church should know that their youth and young adults are going to Jesus Culture Encounter!
You can start by giving your senior pastor the senior pastor letter. Maybe you could show him one of the promo videos too! Get a copy of the parent letter in the hands of every parent of your church. Make sure you give them your personal contact info too. You can mail it out, hand it out at church, or send it home with your youth. If your leadership team is excited about the event, your students will be excited about the event! Cast the vision of why you want to go and explain that it will be an awesome experience. Once your leaders are on board, it will be much easier to gain momentum! There are a lot of ways to inform your congregation about Jesus Culture Encounter. You can show the promo videos on Sunday morning or on your youth group nights. Make sure to get volunteers too, if you need them (drivers, chaperones, fund raising events, etc).
You cannot get into the event without being registered!!
Online Registration:
- Go to jesusculture.com/encounter
- Click the "Register" tab in the menu bar
- Type in all your specs and you're done! We've made it easy.
Make sure to keep the info fresh.
Every week you can do something new like handing out flyers, showing a video, and telling them something new about the event. Mix it up! Keep them on track with fundraising and necessary forms to turn in.
Here are some more ideas:
-
Hang them up in the lobby at church, on the bulletin board, or give them to your students.
-
Share them with your students and encourage them to invite their friends
Those can be handed out at school or put in your church's bulletin

Transportation Tips:
Reserve church vans, or see if you can arrange a caravan to transport everyone to Redding. If you are taking a very large group, you might think about renting a bus or even flying.
If you are taking several vehicles, you probably should not count on following a single car. It's easy to get lost this way. Each driver should have directions of their own and a navigator sitting in front with them to help. Make sure all drivers have a way to communicate with one another as well.
Communicate with your students and the adult leaders about setting some guidelines to ensure the safety of your group. Make sure everyone is accounted for when you arrive and leave places.
We suggest arriving at least 1 hour before the event starts. This way you can park, make it to your seats, and not miss the start of the conference!
